The advantages of living in a detached house have become apparent for many since the pandemic ruled the world for many months and lockdowns became inevitable. Those who became exasperated during days of quarantine are looking for an independent home lifestyle allowing for more freedom.

A similar situation came up in North Cyprus when those confined in their apartments started to move into villas. The prices of villas however are not cheap and not everybody has such a budget. The solution is to buy a piece of land and build an affordable prefabricated house on it.

Building land has become very popular amongst properties for sale in North Cyprus. Many are looking for a decent building plot to buy. Damla Boğaç Emiroğlu, a property expert for land sales evaluated the situation to Kıbrıs Emlak Merkezi.

“Don’t expect a drop in prices” she says. “Building plots and land gain in value every day due to the demand.” Damla Boğaç adds that those who want to buy to build a home on it should buy in proximity to city centers; whereas she recommends buying in areas away from city centers for those interested in investment.
