How is the Cyprus real estate sector going through the pandemic process? What is the interest in Cyprus properties and TRNC investments? Stating that there is a serious increase in the number of people who want to invest in Cyprus, Aygın gave positive messages.
2020 was a difficult year when the global crisis was experienced, what did you do, how did you progress during the pandemic period?
Unfortunately, the Covid 19 virus and the pandemic caused by it affected the whole world. Like all countries and almost all sectors, the real estate sector of Northern Cyprus was also affected by this situation.
As Henry Charles Real Estate, we continued to provide the best real estate service in our office by taking all the precautions. Since there are no tourists and foreign investors in general, we have made some sales by turning to the domestic market.
The domestic buyer, who seized some suitable purchasing opportunity, positively evaluated the pandemic. In addition, some Turkish Cypriots, who have suffered from pandemic difficulties in the UK, have started to make investments to return to Northern Cyprus.
Some of them have already bought.

What is the latest situation in your portfolios?
As Henry Charles, we enriched our portfolio without slowing down during the pandemic period.
We have added new construction projects to our portfolio in line with the demands especially in Nicosia, İskele and Famagusta regions. We did some field work on Kyrenia and its surroundings.
In addition, we created investment projects to be presented to contractors and investors. In short, Henry Charles Estates continues to be ambitious with its portfolio all around the island, with more than 20 years of experience.

What are your expectations for 2021?
First of all, we hope that 2021 will bring health, well-being and well-being to the whole world. After this, I think that good sales will follow with the hope of vaccination and increase of flights to our island and the removal of quarantine incidents.
We know that people who have just met online and who have been our investors for many years who reside abroad are waiting to come and invest.
We are sure that we will catch up with our old real estate sales charts from those days when free and risk-free arrivals will be provided.

What are your suggestions for the further improvement of your sector?
Unfortunately, the constant problem of our industry is that there are people who do not know too much and try to deal with the real estate business that disrupts the market.
Without an office, these people who are not taxpayers and, worst of all, mislead the buyer, need to impose legal sanctions and clear the market in this direction.
A market managed by professionals who are members of the Northern Cyprus Association of Realtors would be very good and correct for both investors, construction companies and us real estate agents.
We have been making efforts and investments in this profession for years. We would like to get the best return for this.

Do you have a message for local and foreign investors?
Domestic investors are already aware of how profitable it is to invest in our island. And it invests as much as it can.
Our main goal is to attract foreign investors and benefit the whole economy.
Managing the pandemic process well will provide us with positive points. The changing new face of the world will direct people to settlements where there are calmer and easier living conditions.
I believe that there will be a lot of demand for our paradise island, where all these conditions are met and there is great weather conditions for almost 10 months a year.
