Northern Cyprus Interview with Taruz Güçlüer, CEO of Northernland Construction

“We Broke Sales Record In 2021”

We left behind a year of pandemic and currency crisis, how was 2021 for Northernland?

The first half of 2021 was stagnant. However, this situation changed after June. We had already completed many preparations such as the marketing infrastructure and cooperation with agencies until June. When the shadow of the pandemic was lifted from us, we have caught a magnificent flow since June. We broke sales records in this period. Congratulations to our entire team, everyone worked with great devotion and we achieved the sales figures we targeted, we achieved the construction site performance.

“We Will Verify All Our Plans This Year”

The fact that you have achieved your goals in the 2nd half of 2021 is a beacon of hope for the sector. So what are your goals for 2022?

Our goal is to further increase our position in 2022. The construction sites are in good condition, the progress of the constructions is going as planned, we will keep our promise to the people. Sales also continue to increase. Considering all these, I think that 2022 will be a year in which we will achieve our goals and implement all our plans.

“Grand Sapphire is a World Class Project”

Could you comment on the Grand Sapphire Resort & Residence project as Taruz Güçlüer? Why should people choose and invest for Grand Sapphire?

There are several reasons for this. We have different customer profiles. For example, we have holiday home customers, we also have investor customers. Grand Sapphire is a project that can appeal to all these different concepts. If you want to buy a house and rent it after 5-10 years and sell it, you will have made a good investment. Grand Sapphire is at a very good point as a return on investment. We are planning a very fast return in terms of both value increase and rental. Do not forget that with this project, you are not buying a standard apartment, but an apartment with the comfort of a hotel. All the facilities of a 5-star hotel are at your fingertips.

The Grand Sapphire project is a project that attracts investors from all over the world, but which countries invest in the project the most?

For example, when the touristic potential of Famagusta and Iskele is fully revealed, when Famagusta Port becomes a tourism port or when the Maraş issue is resolved, these lands will be valued much more than they are. We also tell this information to our investors. We have sold the houses under the auspices of our project as far as New Zealand and Canada. These countries are geographically far away from us, but we have started to receive requests from there. When you look at the price quality index, we are one of the few places in the world. These people come here because we are good at our job.

We are currently selling to 32 countries. I think this shows the international vision of our project. This data is the biggest indicator that we have been able to attract the attention of buyers from many countries.
