From London to Cyprus

Let’s start by getting to know you. Can you tell us about yourself, what are you doing?

I was born in England. After completing my education in London, I decided to settle in Cyprus in 1993 and have been living on the island for 28 years.

In the first years I settled in Cyprus, I started my business life within the banking sector and continued in this sector for many years.

Later, our paths crossed with Henry Charles Estates Director Arzu Aygın. And I left the banking sector and entered the real estate sector.

How did you start the real estate sector, in which areas did you specialize?

I started working as a secretary at Henry Charles Estates in 2003, when the real estate sector was at its most productive.

I decided to leave my profession for a while in 2011, after gaining 8 years of experience as an office manager in this sector where I worked with great pleasure.

I entered the real estate sector again in 2018 and this time I wanted to specialize as a sales consultant and I have been working in the field of sales for 3 years.

Which countries do you work with? What is the priority of the investors in the region where you work in purchasing real estate?

As Henry Charles Estates we work with all countries, but foremost among the countries are Turkey, Britain, Russia and Arab countries.

What’s in your portfolio, what kind of real estate do you market?

Our portfolio is quite wide, I can say that we have the widest portfolio in Cyprus.

Do you have a message for investors?

My message to investors: There are many advantageous reasons to invest in Northern Cyprus.

The main advantages are that real estate prices are always more affordable than other countries, and that many companies offer easy and flexible payment terms.

Of course, it is not limited to this.

For those who want to live for a holiday or for a long term, we should also mention the ideal weather conditions and the better quality of life Cyprus offers. When you consider all these, we are in a very attractive position for investment.

Finally, there is a subject that I want to attract investors’ attention. I would also like to add that investors should definitely work with registered real estate agencies and prefer reliable and well-established companies.
