Northernland Construction Vice Chairman Onur Bozkurt explained the pandemic opening process

But in this period when everyone was in a hurry, wasn’t there anyone prepared? Of course there was. Northernland Group of Companies, one of the successful groups of the Northern Cyprus economy, has been among the best managers of this process. Northernland Construction, which launched the biggest housing project of TRNC, Grand Sapphire Resort & Residence 7 months before the pandemic, and put it on sale with special opportunities, took a very fast position with the announcement of the pandemic.

The company, which established a professional digital infrastructure before the epidemic restrictions came, and managed sales network in many countries of the world, pioneered many companies in Northern Cyprus with its ‘online sales’ success, which it continued without a break even during the pandemic period.

We talked about the reflections of the excitement, the preparations and expectations of the new period with Onur Bozkurt, Vice Chairman of Northernland Construction.

“We Focused on Digital Marketing”

During the pandemic period, you were one of the construction companies that managed the digital process best. How do you evaluate the results you get?

The pandemic not only affected our country, but also the world. We always followed the process from two directions. First, we looked at how the world manages the process, and then we determined our own position.

Among the systems implemented in the world and in our country, we saw a management approach in our favor. While our country was fighting a successful fight against Covid 19, the inside of the country was kept as clean as possible. Protected from external dangers.

We thought this would be an economic problem in the short run, but also an advantage in the long run. As a company, we took a position accordingly.

We followed the developments in the world. It was obvious that there would be a problem in transportation for a long time; For this, we have used all the ways that will successfully meet our customers in a virtual environment, even if they are not face to face.

Now, we have many customers who know what we produce, who aspire to this and who will come to our country at the earliest opportunity and will be our guests. We continue to transfer information about each project in digital media at every stage, without interrupting the contact.

We focused on digital marketing during the pandemic period. We increased our digital marketing and sales team to triple the number of our personnel in order to meet the demands coming from abroad. Considering the general number of cases in our country during the pandemic process, the demands for our country have increased during this period because it is safer than abroad. We are pleased with the interest shown to our Grand Sapphire Resort project, Emerald, which we started selling 3 months ago, and Northernland Villas in the Girne Alsancak region.

“We Are Ready”

Travel restrictions are on the agenda. Excitement has started in our website visitors and other corporate members. How is the situation with you and your investors?

We also have a similar excitement. As a company, we are ready for this. You know, we also have a hotel and transfer companies within our company. Therefore, we have all kinds of infrastructure that will make our customers feel special starting from the field.

It remains to be seen under what conditions and under what conditions the rulers of the country will be allowed to enter the country. Our customers who have completed the double vaccine are constantly asking us, “Can we come?” she asks.

Likewise, there are those waiting to come to the candidate for 3 days and a week with PCR results. The important thing is that those who run the state make quick decisions. We observe that the demand for this island has shifted to Alanya and Antalya due to our uncertainty.

Once the decision is made, we know that there are many real estate buyers ready to come to this clean and beautiful island. We are ready. We are waiting for the decision of our state.

Do you expect an explosion of sales and investors if a correct opening is made after a difficult year in the name of the economy?

Let’s not say explosion, but; We expect the wheels to start spinning gradually. If, as I mentioned above, we know what kind of system we should bring in investors or buyers, the rest is up to our sales and marketing skills.

We are ready to do the best with our 18 years of experience, the relationship we have established with hundreds of real estate sales offices in over 50 countries, and the presence of buyers who trust us.

Which countries are more interested in your projects?

Generally, we have seen that there is a demand for our island from European, Russian and Iranian countries.
